The shorter the distance between the two in terms of the length of the wire, the fewer volts that will be utilized for the functioning of the capacitor. The next step is to disconnect the power from the amp and reconnect it via the capacitor. This might require some new wire in the case there is not enough length in the old one, so some preparation will be required beforehand. The input side has been taken care of. To run the wires through the output side, the same procedure has to be repeated. The battery connections can be hooked up again, and the capacitor is ready to be tested.
